Pictured at the top of this page are the shops of Station Road, Chingford, in c1918.
A shopkeeper stands outside F E Collins, a confectioner for Cadbury, Rowntree & Fry chocolates established in 1899.
They were also on The Parade in 1911 with a double fronted shop also selling toys and games.
The buildings have survived to this day with additional houses being converted to shops over the years.
