Four people fled a burning house in Chingford in the early hours of Saturday morning.
London Fire Brigade crews were called to the fire at a house in Finch Gardens at 2.37am.
Four people escaped the building before the brigade arrived – one of them, a woman, was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
Four fire engines about 25 firefighters from Chingford, Walthamstow, Woodford and Edmonton fire stations attended the scene.
Crews reported the fire under control at 3.49am.
Part of the first floor of a semi-detached house was damaged by fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
