Patients are being urged to avoid hospital A&E services after heavy rain has impacted the sites.
Torrential rain caused flash flooding in parts of London yesterday and bosses at Barts Health NHS Trust says Whipps Cross and Newham Hospitals are urging A&E patients to use other hospitals.
A note on the trust website says: "Services affected by heavy rainfall. Newham and Whipps Cross hospitals are currently experiencing operational issues due to heavy rainfall.
"Please use alternative A&Es if you require urgent care."
Streets were left underwater in various parts of London yesterday including Walthamstow, Newham, Hackney Wick and Barking.
Shocked residents took to social media to post pictures and videos showing cars stranded and struggling to make their way through the flooding.
