The loft a semi-detached home was left damaged after a fire broke out.
Two people managed to escape the house fire on Horsley Road in Chingford yesterday (August 19) without any injuries.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters attended the scene after being called just before 4pm.
Eventually the fire was under control by 5pm after crews from Chingford, Woodford, Walthamstow and Enfield tackled the blaze.
According to the London Fire Brigade, it is believed the fire was accidental and caused by hot works being carried out.
