More than 200 new Covid cases were recorded in Waltham Forest and Redbridge, new figures have shown.
The number of new cases in Waltham Forest increased by 92 in the latest 24 hours, according to the Government's coronavirus dashboard.
This means a total of 32,448 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 in the borough since the pandemic began.
The current infection rate in Waltham Forest, for the seven days to August 20, is 246.6 cases per 100,000 population, which is equivalent to 683 cases.
This is down from an infection rate of 258.2 the week before.
In Redbridge, 119 new cases were recorded over the last 24 hours, meaning a total of 40,080 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 in Redbridge.
The rate of infection in Redbridge stands at 242.8 (742 cases) which is down from 256.2.
The rate in Redbridge is the 22nd highest out of London's 32 boroughs.
