Pictured above is Green Farm, The Green, Chingford in 1911.
Records show that the farm dates back to at least 1678 when it was owned by the Greene Family.
The girl on the left is Hilda Hart, the daughter of Henry, manager of the Chingford Rise Estate who purchased the farm in 1897.
Lawrence of Arabia (T.E Lawrence) bought part of the farm's land at Pole Hill in 1920.
How the scene looks today
By the 1950s the farm house was surrounded by housing development and eventually demolished to make way for the Assembly Hall and library seen today.
