An entrepreneur from Walthamstow has been told by Prince Charles that she should be “so proud” of what she has achieved as a young businesswoman.
Keshia East, 29, had the opportunity to meet prince Charles at ‘The Enterprise’ event hosted in South London on Thursday, 11 November.
The programme by The Prince’s Trust provides training and funding to young people in self-employment or starting their own business.
The Prince of Wales met with the young business owner and heard how the support has helped her to establish her businesses.
Ms East runs an online business called ‘No Knot Co’ which specialises in hair tools for wavy, curly and coily hair types.
She enjoyed speaking to the prince about her business and “couldn’t believe how friendly he was”.
The businesswoman explained to Prince Charles how her mentor advice provided by the programme was a "game changer for her".
Ms East said: “He was very intrigued that my business was self funded and told me I should be so proud.
“I tried to persuade him to buy our shampoo brush - telling him about its benefits for hair growth.
“He seemed very interested so I will be looking out for an order from him very soon!”
