A man from Waltham Forest has been sentenced after sexually assaulting a woman in a Leyton supermarket.
Deepak Kumar, of Lea Bridge Road, was accused of intentionally touching a woman aged over 16 without consent at Tesco in High Road on September 25 this year.
The 33-year-old pleaded guilty at Stratford Magistrates' Court two days later.
He was sentenced on Monday, November 22, to four months of wearing an electronic tag and having to abide by a curfew.
Kumar was also given a rehabilitation activity requirement and must register with police for five years in accordance with the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
He must pay a £95 victim services surcharge but was not ordered to pay costs due to limited means.
The defendant's guilty plea was taken into account when imposing the sentence, the court heard.
