A teenager has received a suspended sentence after being found with a knife and possessing drugs at a train station.
Bakeerathan Balaraj, 19, of Chaucer Road, Walthamstow, appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court after he was found with a kitchen knife and cannabis at Euston Railway Station on January 4 this year.
He pleaded guilty to both possessing the knife and drugs on January 24, where he was committed to prison for 16 weeks, suspended for 12 months.
As a result he is under curfew between 8pm and 7am daily with electronic monitoring until March 24.
Balaraj must also pay a total of £213 to fund victim services and cover the costs of the Crown Prosecution Service.
