A man has been found dead near a lake in Wanstead.
The Metropolitan Police force was called to reports of a body in a park in Snaresbrook Road around 8.32am on Tuesday, February 15.
Officers found an unresponsive man near to a lake - he was pronounced dead at the scene.
“His next of kin have been informed,” a Met spokesperson said.
“A post-mortem examination held at Walthamstow Public Mortuary on Friday, 18 February was unable to determine the man's cause of death.”
Police are treating the death as unexplained and officers are working to establish the circumstances.
