A 52-YEAR-OLD mum of two has raised more than £1,200 for charity by running a total of 56 miles - two miles a day - throughout February.
Su Stevenson, of Coopersale was inspired to take on the run after spotting a plea for people to take part in the Run 56 Miles Challenge from Cancer Research UK.
Su, who has suffered skin cancer on her leg, felt this was a good motivation for her to keep up her healthy hobby.
“I have been supported a lot by friends and family,” says Su. Regulars at the Garnon Bushes pub where she works gave £600 and Coopersale Yoga has donated £130.
Su works as an adult community learning tutor for the county council. Her husband Jack is retired.
