THE organiser of a weekend yoga and art fundraiser for Ukrainian refugees says she is "blown away" by the generosity of Walthamstow residents.
The art sale and yoga and meditation classes at the East of Eden centre as well as workshops raised more than £3,000.
Founder and owner of the centre, Abby McLachlan, said: “Our cafe manager is Ukrainian and we have Russians and Ukrainians among our community, so when Alexandra Sazonova came to us and suggested an art sale, I jumped at the idea.
"There were two spring yoga workshops with James Cassidy and Eryck Brahmania, plus a special family yoga class with Faith King, and poetry and craft in the cafe. I'm blown away by people's generosity.”
