Detectives have revealed a teenager was left fighting for his life after he was attacked by three men armed with machetes as he left a Tube station.
The victim needed CPR after he was stabbed in the chest and arm in Church Lane by Leytonstone Tube station.
It happened shortly after 7pm on Sunday, May 8. He was admitted to hospital in a life-threatening condition but after undergoing surgery, the teenager has since been discharged.
Just over a month on from the attack, police have confirmed no arrests have been made and today (July 1) issued an appeal for witnesses.
Detective constable Rachel Gardiner said: “A young man was left fighting for his life after this brutal and shocking attack, which took place in broad daylight near a busy Tube station.
“Do you remember seeing anything that might help our investigation? Maybe you saw the three men acting suspiciously prior to the attack, or running away afterwards?”
