Staff at a nursery honoured the life of their director in a seven-mile walk.
Playdays Nursery in South Woodford came together to hold a fundraiser for their boss Sureen Ganatra, who died after battling chronic kidney disease for 44 years.
Sureen, 48, was born with one kidney and was diagnosed with the disease at the age of 5.
The owner of the Playdays chain had a transplant at the age of 38 which lasted seven years and was waiting for a new kidney for almost four years before his death.
More than £6,300 was raised for Kidney Research UK in memory of Sureen after staff walked from Victoria Embankment to join the charity’s London Bridges walk on July 31.
