A Romford grandfather of eight will be climbing the Cutty Sark’s masts in one of his latest daredevil challenges to raise money for charity.
Charlie Richardson, who has abseiled down one of London’s tallest buildings and completed a skydive, will be taking on this challenge with his 15-year-old granddaughter, Emily.

They aim to raise £3,000 for the King George and Queen’s Hospitals Charity and the money is to go towards its volunteer team.
Charlie, who first started raising money for the hospital when his wife was treated for breast cancer, said: “I’m looking forward to it as it’s quite different to anything I’ve done before.”
The event will take place on Saturday, September 10.
