A MAN was arrested after police raided a counterfeit DVD factory.
Officers found 25,000 contraband films, many of which were pornographic, and copying equipment at the house in First Avenue, Walthamstow, last Wednesday (February 27).
The raid involved local police Safer Neighbourhoods Teams, Trading Standards and the Federation Against Copyright Theft (FACT).
Kieron Sharp, FACT director general, said, "I would like to thank the Police and Trading Standards for their help in tackling the problem of counterfeit DVDs being produced and sold within Waltham Forest.
We welcome any sustained efforts to deal with this issue and encourage members of the public to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 to report any illegal activity."
