IF reports in Spain are to be believed then Spurs keeper Paul Robinson looks set to be replaced at White Hart Lane by Espanyol stopper Carlos Kameni this summer.
The 24-year-old Cameroon gloveman is believed to have a release clause in his current contract triggered by a £4.5m fee.
Spurs number two Gus Poyet confirmed that his club are interested in Kameni last week, when he also revealed that Tottenham were also monitoring Espanyol midfielder Daniel Jarque.
"Kameni and Jarque are very interesting players and every player that is interesting is welcome at a club like Tottenham," Poyet told RAC1's 'Primer toc' programme.
And while the Barcelona-based club are doing their best to persuade Kameni to stay after opening talks over a new contract to replace his current deal that runs out in 2010 - reports in Catalunya say Tottenham have made their move.
It is thought that boss Juande Ramos, who has yet to be impressed by Robinson and Radek Cerny has had Kameni watched several times since taking over in October.
It is believed that a scout from the London club was at Espanyol's 2-0 win over Valencia at the weekend, where Manchester United's chief scout Martin Ferguson was also thought to be monitoring the Cameroon keeper.
