Eton Manor 20
Welwyn 3
(London Two North)
ETON MANOR opened the scoring after only five minutes when, from a ruck, Richie Moller found a way through.
Reece Reed knocked over the conversion for seven points.
Mid-way through the half Moller got his second try of the day after being put in by Mark Cuschieri.
Welywn kicked a penalty on 25 minutes to record their first score of the game.
Just before half time scrum-half Reece Reed limped off to be replaced by John Cruddace.
It was his control of a driving maul at the start of the second half that led to the Manor's third try less than five minutes into the second half, with Ryan Norton adding the final touch.
The conversion was missed but Manor had a more-than useful 17-3 lead.
Tony Skurr completed the scoring when he kicked a penalty that saw Manor return to winning ways. Coach Ged White said: "It's taken a while but we got there, our first league win since Christmas.
"At times we played well, with an intensity and accuracy that has been missing this year.
Hopefully that will be the confidence booster that we needed and we can finish the season in style.
We've got two of the top three teams in the league to play and a cup semi final to look forward to. Playing like we did today I'm confident that we'll finish the season on a high."
