SPURS target Stefan Kiessling has signed a two year contract extension to end any chance he will sign for the north London club.
The striker who was seen as a potential replacement for departed striker Jermaine Defoe will now stay with German club Bayer Leverkusen until 2012.
He said: "I enjoy living in Leverkusen with my family and we are building something good here in the team. In one or two years we will be challenging for the Bundesliga title."
Former German National coach Rudi Voeller said: "Stefan's early contract extension is the logical continuation of our club's policy of securing young players on a long-term basis to build a strong side for the future."
Spurs appear in the Uefa cup on Thursday with a last 16 match up with PSV, Bayer also feature in the competition with a clash against fellow Germans Hamburg.
