DAGENHAM keeper Tony Roberts admits that he is loving the recognition which comes from being named in the Coca Cola League Two team of the week, writes James Randall.
The ex-Wales international - who has been oustanding all season between the sticks - was selected in the list for helping Daggers to a fifth straight win on Saturday, which moves the club ten points clear of the drop zone.
He played a pivotal role in the 2-0 win against Bradford at Valley Parade on Saturday, including a stunning second half penalty save.
And he wants to follow up the accolade by helping the east Londoners to continue the winning run, starting with a vicory against league leaders Peterborough at Victoria Road tomorrow.
"I'm really happy to be in the team of the week - it is good recognition, especially after stopping a penalty," said Roberts.
"Now a nice home win to follow it up would good. We want to show everyone that we are good enough for this league."
Roberts believes Daggers' turnaround in fortunes boils down to attitude, adding that belief has really given the club the kickstart it needed to climb the table.
Although conceding that they are not out of the woods yet, the 38-year-old insisted: "We knew that we are good enough for this league but we had to change our attitude.
"We looked at what we did last year in getting promoted from the Conference and started to believe in ourselves again.
"We believed in what we are doing and we believed in our players - the results have gone from there."
While Roberts has excelled keeping them out, at the other end of the pitch the Daggers have been prolific in the goalscoring stakes, which marks a complete transformation.
Prior to the series of victories, John Still's were a side struggling with confidence in front of goal - they had managed to hit the net just five times in their previouos nine games.
Now though, they have collected 15 goals from five games after upping their finishing practice in training.
Roberts said: "Obviously finishing is something they have been working on and its worked because they've started to score goals.
"It's in the mindset of the players to give everything and now we go into these games with confidence."
Roberts is not the first Daggers player to make the team of the week - Dave Rainford, Ross Smith and Ben Strevens have all be included in recent weeks.
