NEWCASTLE defender Steven Taylor has seemingly quashed reports linking him with a summer switch to Spurs, by revealing he plans to sign a new contract at St James Park.
It had been believed that the England Under-21 international was being tracked by Tottenham boss Juande Ramos, but it appears Taylor is soon set to pen a new contract with his current employees.
"I am 100 per cent committed to Newcastle," Taylor told Sky Sports News. "I cannot see myself leaving this football club this is where I want to play my football and I am happy here.
"Obviously working for Kevin Keegan for me is fantastic, I remember me and my dad on the terraces going to games and to be now working under him is fantastic, a dream come true."
