FORMER Dagenham striker Craig Mackail-Smith is hoping to shoot down the Daggers tomorrow to end his current goals drought.
The ex-Victoria Road favourite has gone seven matches without finding the target for Peterborough and is looking to add to the 16 goals he already has this season against the Daggers.
"It would be great to score on Saturday, not just because I haven't scored in seven games, but because it is against my former club, Mackail-Smith told the clubs' official website.
"It has been frustrating for me but I will continue to work hard and hopefully I will get a little tap in to set me going again.
"The good thing is that the rest of the team are scoring goals and we are winning football matches and that is the main priority.
"Returning to Dagenham was one of the first fixtures I looked for at the start of the season and I can't wait for the game.
"I know most of the lads very well and I have been having a bit of banter with them. They have been on a great run recently winning the last five matches, but I am confident that we can stop their little run.
"I am also confident that Dagenham will stay up. I would hate to see them go down in their first season."
