DAGENHAM will be looking to maintain their title charge when they entertain old rivals Writtle Wanderers this weekend.
The Daggers, who secured a convincing 64-3 over basement boys East London last Saturday and are now within touching distance of promotion.
They now face a Writtle team, who also come into the fixture off the back of a 14-8 victory against Upper Clapton last time out.
But Dagenham will be confident of maintaining their title charge having won the corresponding fixture 0-31 back in September against a side who sit third bottom in the Essex One table.
Reflecting on events D's skipper Ben Fowler said: "Writtle are old rivals of ours and there is a mutual respect between the two sides.
"We know that they we will be very organised and strong up front. This is yet another tough game in a run of big fixtures for us.
"We have shown tremendous strength and character of late, we just need to keep the same disciplines going.
"I have great admiration for the efforts the players are putting in, they are really putting their hands up and showing they are serious about wanting to achieve honours this year."
