SPURS boss Juande Ramos has admitted he is still coming to terms with the intensity of London derbies in England ahead of the visit of West Ham tomorrow.

The Spaniard has recently seen his side memorable cup wins over capital rivals Arsenal and Chelsea, and is hoping to make it a hat-trick now against the Hammers.

"I'm from a different country and I don't see as clearly as people in this country this rivalry 'to the death', said Ramos.

"It creates a great atmosphere between the two sets of supporters - and what I want to do is like against Arsenal, to beat West Ham and bring happiness to the supporters.

"We played against them in the first half of the season, so we know about the rivalry."

And following back-to-back defeats against Birmingham in the league and Thursday's 1-0 defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the Uefa Cup, Ramos has urged his team to refind the focus that helped them win the Carling Cup recently.

He added: "We are trying not to relax - but perhaps with winning the trophy, a little bit of relaxation sets in.

"What we will have to do is recover the intensity, so we can have a good end of the season.

"I hope all my players give 100 per cent whenever they are playing - and at the end of the season, I will make my decisions depending on what I want to do."
