A TEENAGER has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in a busy shopping centre.
The 18-year-old was sectioned under the Mental Health Act and detained in hospital after treatment for a stab wound, believed to be self-inflicted.
A pensioner who was stabbed during a brawl which started in the public toilets in Selbourne Walk, Walthamstow, just before 3pm on Friday has been released from hospital.
A 25-year-old man who suffered minor head injuries was treated at the scene.
Officers from Waltham Forest CID are investigating the incident and have recovered a knife.
They are also following up other enquiries, including CCTV footage.
