NEWSPAPERS collected by Waltham Forest campaigners are among those used to cover a house with discarded free newspapers.
Sculptor Sumer Erek has erected the wooden structure at a church in Hackney and he is encouraging people to bring and place newspapers onto it.
It is now on show in Gillet Square, Dalson.
Environmental campaigners from across the capital including Waltham Forest collected the papers from transport hubs like Leyton and Stratford Tube stations as part of Project Freesheet, who have donated 10,000 papers to Mr Erek.
Among those taking part was Leyton resident Tom Wright, 32, who launched an online petition calling for publishers of free newspapers to install recycling bins at Leyton Tube station.
Former Waltham Forest Mayor and Labour prospective parliamentary candidate for Walthamstow Stella Creasy also campaigned on the issue.
The discarded newspapers has been made into a paper house by Mr Erek which will be on display until Sunday and then recycled.
He hopes the house will highlight the need for recycling.
Train companies have donated about two tonnes of newspapers left by commuters.
