SPURS defender Gilberto dedicated his first goal for the club to his new team-mates at White Hart Lane.
The 31-year-old Brazilian made a costly mistake on his debut on Thursday that led to PSV's match-winner in the Dutch sides 1-0 Uefa Cup win in the first leg of the Round of 16 tie.
But he atoned for that error with Tottenham's third goal in their 4-0 win over West Ham yesterday.
And Gilberto could hardly contain his delight after only the ninth Spurs player to score on his Premier League debut.
"The goal made me very happy because after PSV I felt bad, I made a mistake and Farfan scored the goal," Gilberto told the clubs official website. "I wanted to thank the players because after the PSV game they said 'come on Gilberto, keep your head up' and that was very important for me.
"A few days later and I played again, scored my first goal for Tottenham and I'm very happy.
"When I scored I wanted to run to the bench, I wanted to run to the fans but the players quickly came to me. They helped me so much after PSV and that goal was for them."
