SPURS boss Juande Ramos could be set to make a sensational summer swoop for former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder Lassana Diarra.
The French international, who only joined Portsmouth in January has put in a string of eye-catching performances since his arrival, including helping them into the semi-finals of the FA Cup following a shock win at Manchester United on Saturday.
And according to internet reports Ramos could be tempted to break the bank to sign the 22-year-old, who he was said to have been interested in as well in January.
At the time it was thought the Gunners were reluctant to sell to their arch rivals and the player had to be content with a move to Fratton Park to secure regular first team football.
But while Harry Redknapp would fight tooth and nail to keep Diarra, the player himself would probably welcome a move to the Carling Cup winners.
Even on his £5.5million arrival at Portsmouth Diarra shocked club officials, when he claimed he wouldn't stick around for long if a big club came calling for him again.
At the time he said: "The people at Portsmouth know that I will not spend my life at the club.
"I was able to add a clause to my contract. If I shine, if a really big club wants me, I already know that everything will go well. I don't want any more battles."
