A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has pleaded guilty to beating and stabbing Chingford teenager Danielle Johnson to death.
Ms Johnson, 17, from Bushey Close, suffered multiple knife wounds and head injuries following the daylight attack in May last year.
Marc King-Bromley hung his head as he entered a guilty plea today (Tuesday).
Ms Johnson was found in Palmerston Road, Palmers Green, at 6.00pm on May 28 by walkers who at first thought she was a mannequin.
She was taken to the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead, where she lost her fight for survival two weeks later.
Det Chief Insp John MacDonald, of Scotland Yard's Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said at the time of the killing: "This was a nasty attack.
"When the person responsible left her lying there they probably did not care whether she lived or died and for all they know, she could have laid there until she died.
"Fortunately, a couple of people were walking down the canal towpath nearby and looked through a fence and saw what they thought was a mannequin.
"There appeared to be some movement in the chest area, so they went round and found a young girl lying down behind some garages with serious injuries.
"She was found at around 6pm on Bank Holiday Monday afternoon and I would say she was attacked not too long before then."
Judge Stephen Kramer QC adjourned sentencing until April 11 so a pre-sentence report could be prepared.
