SPURS boss Juande Ramos is set to go on a summer spending spree with the Spanish manager being rumoured to be interested in a number of players to improve his squad, writes James Randall.
Ramos along with Manchester City boss Sven Goran Erickson is according to reports rumoured to be fighting for Watford stopper Scott Loach. The north Londoners are said to be looking at possibly bringing in two new keepers, with both England international Paul Robinson and Radek Cerny reported to be heading out of White Hart Lane this summer.
That could pave the way for 19-year-old Loach to join Espanyol goalkeeper Carlos Kameni as possible replacements, with the latter being line-up as the new number one.
The towering Loach, who at 6ft 4inches has however impressed while on-loan at Bradford, and is tipped to be the next player to make the move up to the England Under-21 squad.
As well as Loach, Ramos according to media sources could also be set to raid Spanish club Real Zaragoza for their captain Diego Milito.
The 28-year-old - who plays up front - has been averaging a goal every other game for the mid-table side and is seen as the perfect replacement for flop Darren Bent.
It has also been rumoured that Ramos wants to capture 29-year-old Argentine international Diaz from Spanish side Getafe. Diaz is a defender who can play across the back line and would bolster the north Londoners often injured defence.
