A BRACE of goals in Tottenham Hotspur's comfortable 4-0 win over West Ham has meant Dimitar Berbatov is now in The Actim Index Top 20, the official player ratings system of the Barclays Premier League.

The Bulgarian striker may have had a slow start to this season amid speculation over his future, but he has slowly got back to his imperious best, showing his class.

He still has the highest single match index by anyone this season for his impressive four-goal haul against Reading back in December, which earned him 85 points, but it was the pair of first-half headers against the Hammers that took him up to 15th overall in the Index, up 13 places, and in front of Robbie Keane as Spurs' best player in the standings.

The 41 points he earned this week was the second best haul by any player in one match, only beaten by Fernando Torres' 51 picked up for his hat-trick in another 4-0 win over West Ham.

Berbatov is one of six Spurs players currently in the top 100 of the Actim Index, just ahead of Keane (19th), with Pascal Chimbonda (40th), Jermaine Jenas (70th), Aaron Lennon (73rd) and Steed Malbranque (82nd) also riding high.

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player's contribution, be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team, with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.
