SPURS have been told they will have to stump up the £4million buyout clause to stand a chance of securing Cameroon keeper Carlos Kameni.
Rumours in Spain have strongly linked the north Londoners with a summer swoop for the Espanyol stopper.
And with Tottenham assistant Gus Poyet already confirming their interest in the 24-year-old former Le Havre gloveman, they will now have to match that with hard cash.
And with Manchester United, Valencia and Atletico Madrid also reported to be trailing Kameni, Espanyol sports chief Paco Herrera has told any interested party they must meet the valuation placed in the keeper's contract.
"I will not listen to bids for Kameni because it is our intention to continue to count on him," said Herrera.
"Kameni has a buyout clause of £4 million and whoever wants him must pay that."
