MANCHESTER City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson is looking for his troops to get back on track against Spurs on Sunday.

City are without a win in their last three games and former England manager Eriksson is hoping some last minute tuning will help them return to winning ways against the north Londoners.

"We'll hope for a short and sharp session tomorrow and then we'll be ready for Sunday - physically, tactically and mentally," Eriksson told the clubs' official website.

"We need a performance and result that would turn everything around - so hopefully we can get that on Sunday. If we do then the next eight games after that are much easier to play."

But the City boss is well aware that Juande Ramos' men will be keen to bounce back themselves following their penalty shoot-out heartache against PSV in the Uefa Cup on Wednesday.

"I think they played very well against PSV and they deserved to win that game," he added. "They changed their formation two or three times during it so to work out exactly what organisation they will come with is hard.

"They started that game without Lennon and he's been on fire lately - so I don't know if he has some problems or tactically Ramos wanted to play the diamond.

"It doesn't really matter what they do because we will try to play our way.

"It's always more important how we act on the pitch then how the opponents are going to be organised. If we do things well it doesn't really matter."

Eriksson will hand a late fitness test to key defender Richard Dunne, who is struggling with a shin injury.

Dunne needed nine stitches in the injury he sustained during last week's defeat to Reading and has complained of soreness but boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has refused to rule him out.

Dunne's absence would leave Eriksson with few defensive options with Michael Ball (knee) and Micah Richards (knee) still out. Martin Petrov is banned, but Nedum Onuoha is back after a hamstring strain.
