SPURS keeper Paul Robinson's chances of earning an England recall have suffered a bitter blow.
The former Leeds stopper is still in the squad for Tottenham's London derby with Chelsea tonight, but is unlikely to feature after spraining his ankle in training on Monday.
England head coach Fabio Capello will be at White Hart Lane and was set to make a personal check on Robinson and several other players.
Robinson, who has battled back to reclaim his place at club level from Radek Cerny was hoping to impress the watching Capello and try to re-establish himself as a serious challenger for David James's position at international level.
But regarded a major doubt for the clash with the Blues, the Tottenham gloveman will struggle to earn a recall to the international fold with Capello set to name his squad for next week's friendly against France in Paris shortly.
There is better news for Robinson's team-mate Ledley King, who is back in training after missing Sunday's reverse at Manchester City with a calf strain.
Striker Robbie Keane, who did not train yesterday because of a slight knee problem - is still set to face Chelsea despite his strop after being subbed at Manchester City on Sunday.
