ARSENAL striker Emmanuel Adebayor believes the close bond of Arsene Wenger troops will guide them to glory this season.

The Gunners young team have surprised many this season by being able to compete for major honours despite the sale of Thierry Henry to Barcelona in the summer.

The north London club despite a recent dip in form sit joint-top of the Premier League. They also secured a place in the quater-finals of the Champions League by becoming the first English side to beat seven times European Cup winners Milan in the San Siro, with Adebayor scoring the second goal in a memorable 2-0 win.

And 24-year-old Togo-born striker feels that with Wenger's squad all of similar age, that has helped increase the togetherness in the Emirates Stadium camp.

"We are all the same generation," Adebayor told the Daily Express. "We all understand each other well, we know what we need to do.

"After the match sometimes we go into town together and have a drink and a chat.

"We hang out together, live together and we're like a family."

And Adebayor, who has scored 23 goals this season believes his job is made much more easier by playing in front of players like Cesc Fabregas and Mathieu Flamini.

"Here everyone know about the clairvoyance of Cesc Fabregas. He sees the game so clearly, better than anyone," added Adebayor.

"I don't even need to talk to him for him to know where I am - same with Flamini, I don't need to ask.

"They know I like to make runs and to receive the ball deep so we don't need to talk, all I need to do is call and the ball arrives."
