Senrab A 0 Loass 2
(Friendly)
LOASS adapted to the terrible conditions better, playing the more positive football and were well worth their victory. Barn Sports B 0 Buckhurst Hill A 8
(Echo Kent League U9s) HAVING convincingly beaten Barn a few weeks earlier Hill attacked from the off.
Barn competed from the first ten minutes until Moyo Ajibade put in by man of the match Curtis Jones twice in a couple of minutes to put Hill two goals up.
Ajibade completed his hat-trick just before half time and could have had another couple.
After the break, Oliver Williams hit the post and had a corner nearly go straight in until the Barn keeper made a great save to tip over the bar.
Hill were totally dominant and goals followed from Sammy Bradley who got three in five minutes.
Ajibade added his fourth and a fantastic strike from at least 25 yards from Darryl Wantaate made it 8-0 to Hill.
Clacton 2 Redbridge Ladies 2
(Essex Girls Football League U11s Plate Competition) PLAYING into a fierce wind and having gone a goal down early on Redbridge had to defend resiliently in the first half.
However Rosborough made some fine saves to ensure no more goals were conceded and with Pambani making many surging runs forward Redbridge were unlucky to still be behind at the break.
Redbridge got the equaliser they deserved when Peattie made a fine run from defence and passed to Brown whose cross shot from the edge of the penalty area flew over the goalkeeper and into the net.
They continued to press forward and were rewarded when Brown got away from the defence once again to fire low into the net.
The Clacton forwards still looked dangerous and just before the final whistle they managed to fire in a shot that squirmed into the net past the unfortunate Redbridge goalkeeper.
Lakeview 2 Ryan FC 2
(Friendly U14s) RYAN maintained their long unbeaten run without six regulars, twice fighting back against a tall, strong, physical side and a powerful wind.
Lakeview took the lead against the run of play after being under pressure.
Ryan carved out four chances and Ahmed's punt was headed on by Gough for Cardo to level.
The weather spoiled the game but the teams were lively and even at the break.
The home side put on the early pressure but Ryan's defenders held firm.
Jones was superb in midfield for Ryan.
Lakeview were direct and used the wind whereas Ryan preferred to pass and create.
But the wind helped in a second goal for Lakeview after a miss-kick.
The Fullers were causing problems up front and from a Jones pass Cardo chipped the keeper to equalise.
Morris was then inches from snatching victory for Ryan who also went close from Gobey. MOM Jones.
Redbridge 3 Waltham Forest 0
(Essex Schools Cup semi-finals U14s) IN a disappointing game, Waltham Forest failed to convert goal chances into goals.
Redbridge had less of the play but were more on the ball in front of goal and now go through to the final.
Redbridge 1 Waltham Forest 2
(Essex Schools Cup semi-finals U13s) WALTHAM Forest took the lead with a goal from George Craddock (Leytonstone School) and after the break it was increased by Afalabi Obafemi (Chingford School).
Redbridge got a consolation goal to reduced the arrears but that was not enough to stop Forest going to the final where they will meet Newham next month.
Forest Manager Paul Hobbs said: "It was a great team effort with every player working had to land a deserved victory."
Woodford Youth 1 Redbridge United 3
(Echo League U13s) A DISAPPOINTING loss for the Foxes U13 left their title challenge in tatters.
There was cautious start from both sides but a two-goal salvo from United left the shell-shocked Foxes with a massive up hill to climb.
A number of chances for the hosts in the first half brought no reward so Woodford pushed forward in the second period.
They were awarded a penalty, only for man of the match Eldridge to strike the ball well over the bar.
However, sustained orange pressure and a superb flying header by McVaigh, from a Boakye right wing cross, reduced United's lead to 2-1.
All out Woodford attack left defensive gaps which United exposed, scoring to finish the game two goals ahead.
Park View Rangers 5 Whitewebb Eagles 0
(Cheshunt Youth League U12s) PARK View recorded a stunning victory with goals from Aron Sweeney-Fenton, Jamel Blackstock, Clirim Berisha, Samual Nakanda and Jake Hayden-Eley.
Victory was secured despite being without their regular goalkeeper.
The Eagles failed to register a threat on the Rangers goal until almost the last kick of the game.
West Ham United Ladies 2 Colchester Town Hawks 1
(Essex County Girls U14s League Cup Semi Final) West Ham booked their place in the County League cup final in May after overcoming a determined Colchester Town side in an exciting semi-final.
Despite an early spell of pressure, it took the introduction of Faye Cook to break the deadlock, as within minutes of coming on she turned quickly on a loose ball in the Colchester area and her left-foot shot squeezed under the keeper and into the net.
Within five minutes West Ham had doubled their advantage when a dangerous cross from Hayley Busby evaded everyone and was intelligently pulled back into the area by Jordan Hanley.
Faye Cook was again on hand to fire home high into the roof of the net.
The task in front of the Hammers became even tougher at the start of the second half when a red card for a retaliation saw them play the final 25 minutes with ten players.
Spurred on, Colchester poured forward, yet found skipper Sophie Reed and fellow defender Holly Trimby once again in commanding form.
With just under ten minutes remaining Town finally made their player advantage count with a goal to set up a nail biting finale.
The visitors threw caution to the wind during injury time, piling bodies into the West Ham penalty as keeper Lauren Picton showed real bravery making three dramatic late saves to secure the victory.
Waltham Forest United 7 Waltham Abbey 0
(Cheshunt League U14s Division 2) THERE was not a lot in it for the first 15 mins, but then Forest stepped up a gear.
Craig scored a great hat-trick along with two goals from Samet with Kieran and Bobby getting one apiece.
The game was far from one sided and Abbey never gave up.
Develop B 3 Waltham Forest A 3
(Echo League U9s) WALTHAM Forest scored first but Develop soon equalised with a penalty by Jake Andrews.
The hosts scored two more quick goals only for Develop to rally a reply with strikes from Ewing and Robson.
All of the Develop team played above themselves with Zak Webb commanding in goal. MoM: Charlie Ewing.
