SPURS boss Juande Ramos was delighted with his sides' fighting spirit after they battled back to secure a thrilling draw in last night's London derby with Chelsea.

In an action-packed match at White Hart Lane, the hosts came back from 3-1 down to earn a 4-4 draw thanks to Robbie Keane's brilliant fourth.

And the north Londoners could have dented the Blues title hopes further, but for a great save from Carlo Cudicini to deny Dimitar Berbatov at the death.

Ramos told the club's official website: "At 3-1 down in the second half against a side like Chelsea it's always going to be difficult, but the game was open and the team believed in its possibilities.

"We had to push forward, there was a minimal risk towards our own goal so we pushed on looking for victory and could have scored a fifth goal right at the end.

"It wasn't to be, but I'm very happy with the effort the team put in."

Ramos also remained diplomatic about former Arsenal defender Ashley Cole's horror tackle on Alan Hutton, that unbelievabley only brought a yellow card from referee Mike Riley.

He added: "The referee decided it was a yellow card, but we've seen tackles which were much less serious which have earned red cards, like Robbie Keane's this season.

"But we have to respect the official's decisions on things like that."
