ACCORDING to media reports in Italy Arsenal will have to brace themselves for a summer swoop from AC Milan for Emmanuel Adebayor.
The 24-year-old Togo ace has been in sparkling form this season with 23 goals despite a recent lean spell. In fact Adebayor's only strike in the last seven games, came in the San Siro when the Gunners became the first British clu to win there with a 2-0 victory at the start of the month.
And that may well have swung the Italian clubs preference in favour of the Arsenal striker, rather than Chelsea's Didier Drogba, who they have also shown an interest in.
And a report in Corriere dello Sport backs that up, claiming that if AC can secure their qualification for next season's Champions League, then they could well be prepared to break the bank to secure Adebayor in the summer.
