SPURS defender Alan Hutton has claimed he may one day return to Ibrox to play for former club Rangers, writes James Randall.
The 24-year-old told The Scotsman: "Rangers is a club I love and I would love to play for them again one day. You never know what could happen, maybe I'll be back in the future, maybe not."
The defender added: "I've got no regrets, at first I was a bit wary of coming down here but now I'm happy I made the move."
Hutton joined the north London club for a fee of £9 million in the January transfer window amidst claims he was holding out for a move to Manchester United, something he denies.
He added: "I wasn't holding off for something else as some people suggested. I never knew anything about the reported interest from Manchester United. I was only taking my time because I felt it was a massive decision for myself and my family."
Hutton has appeared in seven league games for the club, and has even picked up a Carling Cup medal in his short time at Spurs.
The defender feels playing in the Premier League, against better quality opposition has already improved him as a player: "Playing against quality players every week in The Premier League has helped me become a better player," Hutton said. "Every match is a test."
Hopefully - for the Spurs' faithful - Hutton's return home will be a few years off yet.
