ARSENAL striker Eduardo look's set to make it to the summer European Championship's after all, in a morale boosting role.
The striker faces nine months on the sidelines because of a horror tackle from Birmingham midfielder Martin Taylor.
Immediate concerns that the Croatian would never play again were soon extinguished, but it became clear that the player would miss the rest of 2008.
However national coach Slavan Bilic's has asked if the player could join up with the squad to boost the team moral for the competition.
Billic told the Daily Mail: "I want Eduardo there and so do the players, it would also mean a lot to him. He has been a driving force on our road to the finals and has a big desire to be a morale-boosting factor during the event but it's up to his club, Arsenal, of course."
The striker - who before the tackle had began to show signs of settling into the Arsenal first team - netted ten goals in the Croatian's qualifying games including one against England.
Arsene Wenger has yet to comment as to whether he will let the 25-year-old spend his summer in Austria and Switzerland.
