THE Easter weekend was frustrating, embarrassing and hugely disappointing for us.
Having spoken about how a couple of positive results would get us firmly back into the play-off spots, it was hugely disappointing to lose to both Carlisle and Cheltenham.
To suffer our first back-to-back defeats in the league this season was a massive blow and hurt even more given the fact that we are still only three points away from the play-off spots.
It does leave you wondering what might of been, and it has really hit home what a great chance we've blown.
I don't know why but we seem to string a couple of results together to keep ourselves in there, and then for some stupid reason we just seem to show signs of nerves.
We didn't get going against Carlisle. I never thought we would get out-battled and out-played the way we did, and we really let everyone down especially the fans.
Then at Cheltenham on Monday we made it too easy for them as well and but for the last 20 minutes when we seemed to give it ago, we couldn't expect to come out of that one with anything.
But despite how disappointing the weekend was we can't let our heads drop and got to keep plugging away because there is still a glimmer of hope that we might make it.
So we will keep working hard, and give it everything we have got at port Vale on Saturday.
While we know if we can beat them there is every chance we might send them down, but we need the win and that is all that really matters to us.
