THIEVES made off with cash after a night time raid on a bank sometime over the Easter weekend.
The gang broke into Barclays in Leytonstone High Road by smashing a rear window and forcing open iron bars.
The theives then forced open cashier tills.
The raid happened sometime after the branch closed on the evening of Thursday, March 20, and was discovered by staff as they arrived at work on the morning of Tuesday, March 25.
Police have not revealed how much money was taken.
CCTV footage is being examined by investigators.
