Arsenal Ladies 3
Birmingham Ladies 0
(Premier League)
ARSENAL Ladies racked up their 50th consecutive domestic league victory with a comfortable 3-0 win over Birmingham City at Boreham Wood FC's ground.
The Gunners took the lead 20 minutes into the match through Wales cptain Jayne Ludlow after she connected with Rachel Yankey's corner.
After the break, a brace from the league's top scorer Lianne Sanderson put the result beyond the Blues.
A low shot found its mark from the edge of the box before a rasping drive from an acute angle was too strong for Birmingham's keeper, who could only parry the ball into the net to hand Sanderson her 23rd goal of a superb season.
