Buckhurst Hill 2 Abbey Youth 4
(Cheshunt League Division U14s)

HILL went behind early on and with their defence under pressure, Bartlett and Nokes made a number of clearances.

A further two quick goals were conceded before Hill fought back as a Smith through pass was put away by Ambrose.

But Hill went further behind before a great Mark Davies cross was volleyed home by Wyatt.

The second half was closer with chances falling to Ambrose while Corderoy in goal for Hill made some good stops.

Ryan A 8 Vicky Park Utd 6
(Waltham Forest League U14s) VICKY went 3-0 up in ten minutes with slick build-up and deadly finishing.

Ryan's unbeaten record looked in tatters as Vicky hit a fourth goal and the game appeared over. However, as the half wore on captain Ahmed hit a long drive to reduce the arrears.

The second half produced another two goals in a five-minute spell with Vicky going 6-1 ahead. Ryan looked shell-shocked but it was then that the fightback really started.

Cardo was tripped in the box and J Fuller fired home from the spot.

Both Ryan substitutes came on and lifted the team.

Cardo found a way through to blast home then a Roberts drive curled in from way out.

A Gough effort thumped the bar and Cardo reacted to hit home.

Ryan's Maloney powered forward and smashed home to equalise before Morris chipped home for 7-6.

With a minute left Ahmed again fired a rocket through the bodies to complete a magnificent comeback for Ryan.

Senrab 3 Sungate Youth 4
(Echo League U14s) SUNGATE took an early lead with a towering header from George Welch.

James Davenport raided the right flank and hit in a sweeping drive for the second goal.

Sean Drennan volleyed in from the edge of the area to make it three. Senrab had fought back to beat keeper Reece Powell to get a goal back before half-time.

Senrab scored twice in the second half to level and looked likely to grab victory.

But Sungate began to push forward with raiding runs by Luke Finney and Andrew Lastic.

With minutes remaining, Jake Indome lobbed the Senrab keeper for the match winning goal.

Snaresbrook Youth 2 Campus Wanderers 2
Snaresbrook won 5-4 on penalties
(Chelmsford League Cup Semi-Final U17s) STAND-IN keeper Sam Staniford pulled out all the stops during a nailbiting penalty shoot-out which saw Snaresbrook Youth win a place in the final.

Staniford saved the final penalty of the game to give table-topping Snaresbrook the chance of the double.

Snaresbrook were 2-0 down in just ten minutes.

A first-half penalty, awarded to Brook, proved to be a missed opportunity when the Campus keeper made a great save.

But then the Brook's Rob Caine scored to make it 2-1.

Shortly afterwards Snaresbrook striker Ollie Young-Miles made the most of a great chip from Caine to equalise just before half-time.

Both sides battled hard throughout the second half and extra time but there were no more goals.

In the penalty shoot-out Charlie Gregory, Sam Staniford, Jack Weaver, Elliot Boakye and Dominic Herbert scored to give the home team a 5-4 victory on penalties, thanks to the Staniford wonder save.

Redbridge Ladies 5 Island Girls 3
(Essex Girls League U13s) REDBRIDGE started sluggishly and didn't begin playing passing football until they were 2-0 down.

The hosts pulled one back when the hard-running Leither, fed through by Charalambous, sent a strong drive past the keeper.

Redbridge started to command the play and Lawrence and McBride grabbed goals to put them ahead at half time.

Littlechild pressed hard down the left and came close with a low shot and Power was immaculate in defence with the support of Spicer.

Island Girls came back into the game when a deflection from McBride was deemed a back pass to the keeper and from the free kick, Island Girls equalised.

Redbridge settled again and created more chances with De Ferry pressing down the right and from a cross Williams volleyed home.

Lawrence finished off the scoring for Redbridge when she completed a neat one-two with Stevens.
