FOLLOWING the publication of my letter (Guardian, March 20) on schools and parental choice, I would like to correct the misleading impression of my views which this may have given to your readers.
I did not say that children should be made' to go to local schools. Instead I said that children should go to their local schools as all of us of a previous generation had done'.
Other changes to my letter also did not fairly reflect UKIP education policy.
Thank you for allowing me to put the record straight.
