WITH five minutes to go until half time, and having spent most of the period in possession of the ball, the Woodham scored a try and made the conversion.
Clapton boys carried on the second half just like the first and were rewarded with a try by Alex.
Play went back and forth for a while with Ferrers scoring another five points.
This prompted Clapton to cross the try line twice but each time they were held up before achieving a touchdown.
Ferrers succeeded in passing the ball back over their own try line three times and each time just managing to touch it down.

Upper Clapton U10s travelled to Stanford-le-Hope on for a double header and the visitors were loaned some home U12 players to make up the team.
The games were close with the Clapton, aided by the older boys, winning both matches.
The first match ended 21-12 with Harry Barker crossing for two tries and George Douglass adding one.
Archie Unstead converted all tries in both matches.
The second game ended 14-7 with the Barker and Douglass combination crossing again.
By the second game Clapton were dominating.
Harry Barker had a fine match with a superb chip and catch to score.
