HAVE you read all this and suddenly got the desire to learn more? Does the way the human mind work intrigue you? Do you think you have what it takes to be a psychology student?
It's that time of year when all you year 11s will be thinking about your choices for the next two years. Perhaps your thinking about psychology?
Well, I won't bore you with all the ins and outs' of what you'll study (that's what a college prospectus is for), but I will tell you what its like being a real student doing the subject.
I'm in my first year at Leyton Sixth Form College and psychology is by far one of the best subjects I take.
You learn all about conditions such as ADHD and schizophrenia and topics such as why people become bulimic or anorexic can really relate to life.
Psychology will make you look at the world in a way you never have before. You'll find yourself thinking more and more about why you do this' and why he does that' and will find that all aspects of the subject can be applied to real life.
However be aware, psychology is not the easiest subject to study.
With no coursework it is all exam-based but with ample opportunities for retakes and excellent guidance from whatever college you choose, you are sure to find this subject an enjoyable one.
