Ravens 10
Ongar 12
(Essex Three)
ONGAR secured their seventh league win of the season with a well-earned victory over old rivals Ravens.
Playing into a strong wind, the Love Lane men did well to turn around 3-0 down at the break after only conceding an early penalty.
After the interval and with the elements in their favour the visitors took complete control.
Tries from Ben Whateley-Harris and Dave Blake, coupled with a conversion from Peter Hovell put them in front, although they could have been well clear, but for having three scores chalked off by the ref.
And in the end, a late converted try from the hosts, made events appear much closer than they actually were.
