A pair of men have been accused of murdering two rappers in Ilford.
Ayman Abasheikh, 18, of Stratton Road, Harold Hill, and Ayaani Ali Adan, 19, of East Street, Barking, were both charged with two counts of murder this morning (November 14).
The charges relate to the deaths of Saydi Abu Sheikh, 23, and Zakariya Jeilani Mohamed, 32, last month.
Police were called at around 00.15am on October 25 to reports of a shooting inside a house in Henley Road, Ilford.
The men, who were both from Ilford, died at the scene.
An inquest opening into their deaths, held at East London Coroner's Court in Barking on November 8, heard that Zakariya died from hypovolemic shock after he suffered stab and gunshot wounds to the torso.
Saydi died from stab wounds to the torso, the court was told.
The inquests were adjourned due to the ongoing police investigation.
Another man, 30, was also found with gunshot injuries and remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital, according to police.
Both Abasheikh and Adan have also been charged with one count of attempted murder, possession with intent to supply a Class B drug, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of a knife in public and possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate.
Both men appeared at Bexley Magistrates' Court this morning (November 14) and were remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, November 16.
Saydi rapped under the name Giddy for a drill group called Drillford and Zakariya used the name Shifty.
The families of the two dead men and the injured man are being supported by specialist officers, a Met Police spokesperson said.
They added that the force's investigation is continuing and that it remains keen to hear from anyone with information, video or images that could help them.
