A woman has died following a house fire in Walthamstow.
The London Fire Brigade was called to a semi-detached house in Higham Hill Road at 5.20am this morning. The fire was under control by 7.02am.
Most of the ground floor and part of the first floor of the house were damaged.

Firefighters rescued a woman from the ground floor of the building but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters from Walthamstow, Tottenham and Leyton fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
